From structured long-term courses to short-term courses and one-time experiences, Guzheng lessons are designed to meet different goals and levels — guiding you step by step into the beauty of this traditional instrument.
Classes are available in Zeist ,Utrecht and surrounding areas.
Lessons outside Province Utrecht are possible, with travel fees applied based on distance.
Structured Learning（Long-term courses）
A comprehensive learning pathway for students who want to build a strong foundation and make consistent, long-term progress. Through a structured curriculum, students progress step by step across different levels, exploring a wide range of repertoire, including both traditional pieces and modern or popular arrangements, developing both technical skills and musical understanding — with the goal of becoming a confident and expressive Guzheng player.
Beyond regular 45 min or 1 hour lessons, this program also includes personalized guidance to support your full learning journey, including:
Advice on purchasing your instrument /Initial setup and installation support/ Basic tuning and maintenance guidance.（If you would like to commit to learning this instrument, having a guzheng at home for regular practice is essential）.

（A 40-minute trial lesson is offered free of charge when a 6-hour package or above is purchased within one month after the trial. Otherwise, the trial lesson fee is €35.）
Short-Term Guzheng Experience Course
Ideal for students who would like to explore Guzheng before committing to long-term study or just to experience this instrument.

One-Time Guzheng Experience
This one-time experience is the perfect way to explore its sound, history, and charm.
During this 1.5-hour session, you will:
Get a brief introduction to the guzheng and its cultural background, enjoy a live demonstration performance
Learn basic playing techniques
Try playing a simple melody yourself
This experience is designed to be relaxed, enjoyable, and inspiring — giving you a real taste of the instrument in a short time. (2 person maximum)

My Guzheng Journey
My journey with the Guzheng began at the age of nine and has grown into a lasting passion over the years. During my university studies, I founded and performed with a traditional Chinese music Ensemble band, gaining valuable stage experience and deepening my connection to the instrument.
For me, the Guzheng is more than just an instrument — it is a way to express culture, emotion, and storytelling, and to connect with audiences across different backgrounds.
Now based in the Netherlands, I share this passion through performances, workshops, and lessons for both adults and children. My teaching approach is accessible and beginner-friendly, while also encouraging students to explore the artistic and cultural depth of the instrument.
In addition to Guzheng teaching, I am also an experienced Chinese language teacher with over ten years of teaching experience. I believe that music and language together can create a unique bridge between cultures, bringing people closer through shared understanding and creativity.
